From Monday 7 June 2021 the way in which you login to Tyne and Wear Homes is changing.

Existing customers logging into the system for the first time from this date will be asked to set a password. For new customers, you will be asked to create a password as part of the registration process.  You are now also able reset a memorable date or password via this website.

Your password must be a minimum of the following:

  • 2 capital letters

  • 2 lower case letters

  • 2 numbers

Symbols and punctuation are not allowed.

This is the first stage in a process that will see Tyne and Wear Homes move away from the use of memorable dates. In the future applicants will be able to login using their email address and a password only. We will keep you up to date with the progress of this transition.

Existing Customers

When logging in you will firstly see the screen which asks for your login reference. Please enter this and click continue.

You will then be asked for your memorable date. Enter this and click continue.

You will then be prompted to create a password.  Please keep a note of this password as you will need it for future logins.

Once you have created your password, click update details to access your account.

New Applicants

When registering your household you will be asked to create a password as part of the registration process under the section household details.

Once you have set your password click next page to create your account.

Resetting a password or memorable date

You will need to know your login reference to use this function, if you do not know your login reference please contact your Local Authority. Enter your login number here and click continue

You will then see the following screen:

From here click on I have forgotten my memorable date or password and you will be taken to the next screen:

You will be prompted to enter your login reference and email address. You will also need to provide two of the following:

  • Postcode
  • Date of birth
  • Family name
  • National Insurance number

Once you have entered the required information please click reset and you will be sent an email with details of your memorable date and password.

If you are unable to complete this process please contact your Local Authority for assistance.

When you receive the email with details of your memorable date and password go back to the login screen and enter your login reference:

Click continue and the following screen will show:

Enter the memorable date and password from the email you have received and click continue. You will then see the following screen:

Enter a new memorable date and password (do not use the details provided in the email you have received) and click continue to access your account.
